TEACHER ATTACHMENT PROGRAMME

    Objectives
  1. Positioning as a zonal proactive approach to support MOE I&E initiative by Schs Div East Zone in collaboration with Work Development Agency (WDA), we want to encourage our teachers to gain exposure outside the school context and broaden their experiences by working collaboratively with WDA to facilitate meaningful and challenging attachments to core business and industry sectors for our teachers.

  2. Learning Outcomes
  3. These outside encounters will allow participants to work with and learn from experts in these industries. Participants will gain crucial experiences that will help them transmit lessons to their pupils that cannot be readily conveyed through books. Participants will have the opportunity to network with these industry professionals.

  4. As the participants bring the learning back to schools, they are in a better position to shape positive habits and attitudes amongst our young minds in the true spirit of I&E. As passionate teachers, they would make conscious effort to provide space for our pupils to develop passions on what they want to do as well. The teachers would encourage our pupils to question as they learn. In addition, they would provide real learning experience to allow our pupils to be able to face up to difficulties, persevere, stand with a team, and overcome adversity. The teachers would make it happen by nurturing a certain ruggedness of the mind.

  5. Follow-up
  6. Based on the different learning needs of the participants, we would like them to work out their self-directed follow-up (e.g. sharing @ contact time and departmental meeting) with their principals.
